PermitUsNow is giving away building permitting tips for property owners who have taken a hit from Hurricane Ida.

Recognized as a business that is in the building permitting industry along the Texas Gulf Coast, PermitUsNow has provided construction permitting tips to residential property owners in Louisiana that were impacted by the hurricane, according to a statement from PermitUsNow.

“As natives and residents of Houston, Texas, PermitUsNow’s staff realizes the challenges in rebuilding after a hurricane and has stepped up to offer straightforward tips to minimize frustrations often associated with permitting,” the press release said.

According to the statement, PermitUsNow wants to make sure that homeowners are not ripped off by unscrupulous contractors in these hard times. PermitUsNow says that emergency repairs, minor works, and cleaning up debris after flood and wind damage to the home do not require construction permits.

Construction permits are needed to build new additions, expand interior rooms, installing new windows, new roofs or repairs on an existing roof and to build a new shed or garage, the group said.

"There is a special kinship with our neighbors in Louisiana; and we wanted to immediately provide practical tips to assist in rebuilding, renovating, or making repairs to residential property damaged by Hurricane Ida," Helen Callier, President of PermitUsNow, said. "We know that this advice can help eliminate headaches related to permits plus save time and money."
