CarMax is growing its presence by adding a couple hubs in Texas.
The company CarMax Inc. is set to create approximately 300 jobs in the area of Dallas, reported News Talk Texas.
“CarMax expanding Dallas operations," Providence Group Realty confirmed in a Sept. 3 Tweet.
There are two projects that are set to create 225 jobs. In addition, the creation of a customer experience center serving Dallas-area customers is set to create around 75 jobs remotely, News Talk Texas said.
One of the projects is a tech hub in Plano that will be the company’s largest of its kind outside of its headquarters in Virginia, according to KISS PR.
"Which has been awesome for me to observe...the evolution of our company from a brick and mortar store-based company to an omnichannel digital technology company," CarMax Chief Information and Technology Officer Shamim Mohammad said, per KISS PR. The second project is a car auction facility in Hutchins, with a capacity for 3,000 cars.
CarMax claims they are now the largest online used car buyer and has purchased over 163,000 vehicles through its instant web tool.
