City of Houston officials have begun executing their development plans for the city’s largest spec industrial building.

“TGS Cedar Port Partners Breaks Ground on Largest-Ever Spec Warehouse Project In Houston,” Simien Commercial recently said in a Tweet.

The new establishment will consist of a 1.2-million-square-foot cross-dock warehouse located within the 15,000-acre TGS Cedar Port Industrial Park.

The project, said to be creating the largest building in the greater Houston area, is set to be carried out by Powers Brown Architecture alongside E.E. Reed Construction LP, which contributes as general contractor.

The Bank of Texas will oversee all financing aspects of the construction, while NAI partners will handle the leasing.

The new venture is projected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022.
