Construction on a multipurpose development in Fort Worth's Cultural District has officially begun with Crescent Real Estate breaking ground on the project that will include high-end housing, offices, an eatery and a hotel.
Officials marked the official start to the $250 million on the mixed-use building project in late September, according to the Texas Real Estate Research Center.
“We are honored to break ground on what will be the living room of Fort Worth,” John Goff, Chairman of Crescent, said in a post on the Crescent Real Estate's Facebook page.
“Located in the heart of our Cultural District and its world-class museums, there is no better site in the city. I started Crescent almost 30 years ago in Fort Worth, and it’s time we give back to the city we love.”
The project will include a 200-room hotel, an office building and 170 luxury residential units, the Texas Real Estate Research Center reported.
Crescent Real Estate, LLC has also announced plans to relocate its headquarters into the new building once construction is finished, Rebusiness Online reported.
According to Rebusiness Online, the project is expected to be completed in a little less than a year and a half and open in 2023.
