A San Antonio-based grocery store chain has entered into an economic agreement for a store and warehouse in a suburb of the city.
Real estate agent David L George tweeted about the proposed development and included a link to an article from the San Antonio Express.
“Cibolo offers $2.2 million for H-E-B to build a store and electronic fulfillment center,” he wrote.
The development will facilitate 250 jobs and has a construction timeline to begin operations by June 2023 with the warehouse/fulfilment center opening its doors 18 months later.
Benjamin Scott with H-E-B told city officials they had originally planned a 80,000-square-foot store, but increased the project to a 110,000-square-foot store due to the area’s rapid growth, according to the San Antonio Express.
“We’re both excited to bring a great grocery store that fits Cibolo’s needs and is unique to this community and also kind of our high-tech cutting edge with this electronic fulfillment center that is kind of the next generation of grocery, with home delivery and curbside pickup,” Scott added.
The project will be developed on 45 acres near the intersection of FM 1103 and Main Street with the warehouse totaling 55,000 square feet.
