An Austin-based developer will be increasing the scope of the residential portion of mixed-use development in New Braunfels.

The real estate news blog Barnaby Bot wrote about the project on Twitter.

“NewsTalk Texas: Wes Peoples adding 117 cottages to Solms Landing,” the blog wrote on Twitter.

The development will be a master planned community developed by Wes Peoples, located near I-35 with two-bedroom cottages ranging in price from $200,000 to $350,000.

The project gets its name from the founder of the city, Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels, and “will integrate the cultural history of New Braunfels into a modern mixed-use development.”

“Residents of Solms Landing will have the ability to choose between ownership and leasing,” the project’s Facebook page states. “Through a variety of living options such as high-end townhomes, loft-style apartments and multifamily above retail.”

The master plan of the project also calls for restaurants, retail, cocktail bars, open green space and live music entertainment.

It is expected that the first cottages will be ready to move into by February 2022 with construction expected to begin soon.

The lots of the residential units will range from 875 square feet to 1,379 square feet.
