A Dallas-based technology platform company that specializes in utilizing photonic chip designs for application fields that include rapid viral testing has purchased property in Allen for its new headquarters.
The Allen Economic Development Corporation shared the news on Twitter, writing that the move made financial sense to the company.
“Strike Photonics Inc. will move into their new home in Allen later this year. The building offered them the perfect opportunity to consolidate their office and lab space,” the Allen EDC wrote.
The company will move into a 14-acre campus that was formerly an entity of WP Carey. It will house their office and manufacturing operations.
“It is a beautiful building, and we are blessed to have it,” said Strike Photonics CEO Todd Doshier. “It has clean room capabilities and mechanical room infrastructure built in, which is what made that space suitable for us. We do a portion of assembly and packaging for semiconductor wafers that have been designed to our specifications.”
The property was developed in 1996 and was being marketed by commercial real estate property firm Jones Lang LaSalle.
The site includes areas suited for office, lab, warehouse and mechanical use. It is located off U.S. Highway 75 near Bethany Drive.
