A nationwide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company with corporate headquarters in Odessa will design and install limited liability company Pinnacle Midstream II’s Dos Picos cryogenic processing facility in the Midland Basin.
Saulsbury was awarded the EPC contract to design and install the facility for Houston-based Pinnacle Midstream II, making it Saulsbury’s 60th cryogenic processing facility project since 2006, a press release said.
Work has begun on the facility that’s designed with a base-rated capacity of 200 million standard cubic feet per day gas distribution. Having “an expected ready to commission date of July 2022,” Dos Picos is Saulsbury’s 22nd cryogenic processing facility in the west Texas region, the statement said.
“Saulsbury will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the processing facility that will include amine treating, molecular sieve dehydration, cryogenic gas processing, residue gas compression, nitrogen rejection, slug catching, condensate stabilization and all balance of plant equipment, utilities, electrical, instrumentation and controls infrastructure,” the statement said.
Cryogenic processing plants are facilities in which “natural gas flowing from wells is cooled to sub-zero temperatures in order to condense liquids" or natural gas liquids that can be shipped to market, WikiMarcellus said.
Formed in early 2019, Pinnacle Midstream II provides various services, including natural gas gathering and processing plus crude oil gathering and stabilization, its website said.
