Wiring specialist Dean Lindo has documented much of the electrical and wiring knowledge he has garnered over the years on his YouTube channel, Deanin' It Yourself.

The Clemson University mechanical engineering program graduate currently contributes to the South Florida-based General and Mechanical Contracting firm Dodec Inc, where he helps develop construction projects and contributes to their transition from estimating to the construction phase.

The expert also showcases his skills on his digital channel, dedicated to helping viewers learn the basics of various home wiring projects. The solutions explained by Lindo on the platform include fixing old Nintendo game systems, fixing doorbells and replacing light switches and mechanical outlets.

Other home fixing tutorials include phone repairs, garage doors, drains and other appliance tweaks, identifying specific wiring terms, which include hot/line, neutral and ground wires, among others.

“His goal is to show the avid DIYer and the average homeowner that by doing some of these projects on your own you have the ability to save yourself some money,”  his bio explains.

Subscribers are often eligible for prize giveaways announced and granted by Lindo.

“I'm not a licensed electrician, but I have accumulated electrical knowledge over the years, and if you are not sure about what you are doing then please consult a licensed electrician for help,” Lindo warns.
