A company that offers plant-based baby and family care products has opened its first U.S. diaper plant in Waco.

Hello Bello, founded by American actress and singer Kristen Bell and her husband, actor Dax Shepard, Sean Kane, Jay McGraw and Jennifer Pullen, had the grand opening of its 312,000-square-foot diaper factory on Oct. 26, a press release said.

“By having this extraordinary (and very colorful) factory, we will be able to reduce our carbon footprint, create U.S. jobs, provide superior quality control and produce a best-in-class product for all families. We are so grateful,” Bell said in the press release. Bell and Shepard are the parents of two daughters.

Hello Bello, first launched in 2019, will invest $31 million in the factory project and has received a $2.5 million economic development grant, NewsTalk Texas said.

“The decision to open and operate in Waco is based on the location's central geography for its direct-to-consumer customers, retail and premium supply partners; providing logistical efficiencies and significant reduction in freight,” the statement said.

Michelle Moineau congratulated the company for its factory opening in response to Hello Bello’s Facebook post.

“I love Hello Bello!!!! I’m so glad they are only an 40 minutes from where I live!!!” Moineau said on Facebook.
