Residential homebuilding company Landsea Homes recently expanded its homebuilding portfolio by entering into a deal to purchase more than 900 lots in Texas, according to a statement.
Landsea purchased the 900 remaining final lots in Anthem, a 1,500-home master-planned community in Kyle. The company will begin developing these lots upon closing the purchase.
"We are very excited to bring Landsea Homes to Anthem, Texas," Greg Balen, Texas Division President, Landsea Homes said, according to the statement. "This is a great opportunity to provide our best-in-class, high-performance homes to the new homebuyers drawn to this wonderful new master planned community in the greater Austin market. Kyle is one of the fastest growing cities in Texas, in one of the fastest growing counties in the country, and we are very pleased to add this expansion to our portfolio."
Anthem is located in Hays County, which is one of the fastest growing counties in the country, according to U.S. Census data. From 2010-2020, the county has grown by 53%.
Anthem is set to include 1,500 single-family homes, and have an elementary school, amenity center as well as limited commercial space.
More than 30% of the community is bordered by permanently protected open space, according to Builder Online.
