Multifamily real estate development firm Wood Partners recently broke ground on its newest luxury apartment community in Austin.

The new community, Alta Blue Goose, is set to begin pre-leasing in late 2022 and open at the end of 2022. 

"Wood Partners is thrilled to break ground on Alta Blue Goose, which will provide an ideal home for those looking to move to the flourishing East Austin area," said Bart Barrett, Managing Director for Wood Partners, according to a statement. "This is an exciting addition to our Austin portfolio as we continue to expand our presence in central Texas."

The property is located south of Austin’s thriving tech corridor in proximity to corporate hubs for companies including Dell, Samsung, Facebook, Tesla, GM and Home Depot. 

"Alta Blue Goose's location at the crossroads of Hwy. 290 and SH 130 provides residents easy access to east Austin's best shopping, dining and entertainment options, as well as the city's largest park, Walter E. Long Metropolitan Park, that is less than a mile from the property," Barrett added. "To date, Wood Partners has delivered or is currently developing approximately 1,400 units in the Austin market. We are eager to add Alta Blue Goose to our portfolio, and we continue to pursue numerous opportunities in the greater Austin area."

The building will have 300 units, and offer floorplans for one-, two- or three-bedroom accommodations.
